Movesense joins Junction, Europe’s Biggest Hackathon

Posted in Uncategorized

Junction is a global converging point for thousands of developers, designers, and entrepreneurs from around the world. It is also the biggest hackathon in Europe. The event is taking place on Nov 24-26 in Helsinki, Finland.

Junction 2017 is divided into multiple tracks, each including several challenges set by the event partners. One of the challenges is hosted by Movesense with the headline “Track Anything that Moves”.

The challenge is listed under the HealthTech track but, as you certainly know, Movesense sensor can be used for much more than health tech. Therefore we hope to see Movesense based projects to be submitted from all ten different tracks.

If you want to show your hacking power and feel the Junction energy, submit your application at hackjunction.com by Oct 15.

The Movesense Challenge: Track Anything that Moves!

The world is full of things that move: an athlete’s body or sports equipment, a machine on a production line, a bridge under traffic, any of us in our daily life, or something else that we can imagine. Often it would be highly valuable to know how and when these things move – or don’t move.

Build your own motion tracking solution with Movesense for any of the ten Junction tracks and help the world to stay on the move!

Prizes will be handed out in three categories: Sports, Health & Wellbeing and General IoT. Winners will be awarded with the latest Suunto watches. In addition, all teams that submit a Movesense based project can keep the Movesense sensors used in development.
